Where venues are in Region IV-A, and getting there
CALABARZON wraps around the southern and eastern edges of Metro Manila and is one of the most populous regions in the country. It's large and geographically varied — a Cavite applicant and a Quezon applicant may travel in entirely different directions to their venues, and Quezon's long coastline stretches far to the southeast, making it the most spread-out province for examinees.
The Civil Service Commission doesn't publish a fixed list of Region IV-Avenues — sites rotate between administrations depending on capacity and the schools available, and the exact venue and room are printed on each applicant's Examination Permit. When you register online you choose this region; the Commission then assigns your specific site, which may not be the city nearest your home. Your permit is the only authoritative source, so check it the moment it's issued.
Slots & registration
As one of the most populous regions nationwide, CALABARZON sees intense competition for slots; register as early as possible, particularly in the dense Cavite–Laguna–Rizal corridor near the metro.
Weather to plan around
The region's mountain and coastal areas — around Batangas, the slopes near Mt. Makiling, and Quezon's Pacific side — get heavy rain in the wet season, and Quezon in particular sits in a frequent typhoon path. Plan for weather if your exam is between July and November.

- The region is large and spread out — a Cavite applicant and a Quezon applicant may travel in very different directions to their venues.
- Confirm your assigned venue as soon as your permit is available; CALABARZON sites can be far from your home municipality.
